Backlinks

OK, I have noticed that some people are joining Illusions, posting a few threads
(usually about the same thing and in the wrong section), and then never returning.

We are going to be watching out for this, and in future, any new member who has
backlinks in their signature that posts and then doesnt return within 7 days will
have either threads deleted or links removed (if its a useful/popular thread).

We dont mind if you want to use our site to backlink as long as you contribute to the
forum by being a regular member and make some effort to be sociable....

Its a SEO tactic (Search Engine Optimisation). People do this to get their businesses site ranked higher with the search engines.

The more links that are 'out there', the more popular the search engines assume the
site is so it ends up with a better page rank which = more visits to the site.....
